The block across the road from People's Park's north gate: a hundred-year-old street of real 1930s-40s buildings — not a reconstruction — restored over nearly four years and reopened on 15 September 2023 as the city's first 'art community', with a small private museum (M WOODS), design labels and cafés folded into the old façades. It sits between the park, Tianfu Square and Kuanzhai Alleys and is the genuine old architecture of the three: come for the buildings and a coffee, stay for the museum if a show is on.
