Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum
The Three Kingdoms in one walled garden: the only temple in China where a ruler and his minister are enshrined together (Liu Bei, founder of Shu Han, and Zhuge Liang, the strategist every Chinese schoolchild and every 'Dynasty Warriors' player knows), built beside Liu Bei's tomb (the Huiling, AD 223) and rebuilt in its present form in 1672. Halls of painted clay generals, the Tang stele of 809, the Three Loyalties temple, and the tomb mound under old cypresses, with the Jinli folk street the museum built along its east wall. ¥50, real-name tickets sold 14 days ahead on the museum's own site and WeChat official account, with passports explicitly accepted, and, in 2026, extended hours 8:30-18:30 from May to early October.

Real-name entry; passports are accepted. One ticket per document per day. Foreign visitors book with a passport or permanent-residence card (official ticketing page); enter at the main-gate checkpoint with the document or the QR code. Passports buy tickets, but the 60+ free entry is only for mainland ID cards, HK / Macau / Taiwan documents and the foreign permanent-residence card — an ordinary foreign passport holder over 60 buys the ¥50 full ticket — see the city tips note on concessions.
Tickets are sold in four time bands (8:30-11:00, 11:00-13:00, 13:00-15:00, 15:00-17:30 under the 2026 holiday rules) — take the first band and walk the shrine before the Jinli crowds arrive around 10:30. Holidays sell out: the museum caps daily numbers and turns away anyone who arrives at the gate without a ticket. Spring Festival's temple fair (大庙会) is the one week to book a fortnight out.
