Weekday afternoons are quiet; holiday mornings queue at the security scanner. The museum says it will post crowd warnings and steer people to off-peak hours when it fills (notice, Sept 2025) — check the WeChat official account 重庆中国三峡博物馆 on a holiday.

The museum's own text promises 'multi-language' guiding and points visitors to free Wi-Fi and its WeChat official account for free audio and audiovisual guides covering the ten permanent galleries and major temporary shows (visitor notice); the English website (ENGLISH link in the header) exists but its guide pages were not checked.
