The reason to come to Wulong: three limestone arches over 200 m high spanning two sinkholes, walked in one direction from a lift at the rim to a climb out at the far end. It is the core zone of the 2007 World Heritage listing and the film set of 'Curse of the Golden Flower' and 'Transformers 4'. The ticket is three layers — gate, compulsory shuttle from the visitor centre in Fairy Mountain town, and the lift — and the headline ¥70 is under half of what you pay (¥155 peak, ¥125 off-season, operator's table).

How to book
Mini-program '武隆喀斯特旅游景区' / WeChat official account '武隆景区' / Qunar, Meituan, Ctrip (district 2026 list); the operator also names the '武隆景区官方平台' mini-program on WeChat or Alipay, real-name (Jan 2025); phones 400-023-5666, park 023-77710118Verified · 2026-01Source ↗
ID details
Real-name entry; passport handling is unconfirmed. Real-name; the operator only says 'bring your own valid ID card original for checking' — whether a foreign passport can be entered online or bought at the window is not published; a 2025 festival notice sent passport holders to a manual lane, which is the nearest official hint
Paying on site
Fairy Mountain town visitor centre (online or window) → shuttle about 15 min to the entrance → lift down → one-way path → exit (¥15 cart up the last hill, optional) → shuttle back to the centre or on to the Fissure.
Beat the crowds
The lift is the one bottleneck: spring weekends and the May Day / National Day weeks queue 30-60 minutes (platform reports). Arrive for the first shuttle, or after 14:00 when the tour groups have gone.
Language
All signage was replaced in 2026 (operator, 9 Jul 2026); how much is bilingual is unverified. Lift and shuttle announcements are mainly Chinese.
