The 600 m tower (2010) on the south bank of the Pearl River, facing the new axis — Guangzhou's postcard and its one expensive ticket. Two indoor observation halls at 433 m, an outdoor deck at 450 m and the 488 m platform billed as the world's highest outdoor deck, plus a horizontal ferris wheel (the 'bubble tram') around the 450 m deck and the Sky Drop. Admission is real-name and time-slotted: six two-hour entry windows a day, and the ticket hall only sells the current window.

How to book
Ticket hall (current window only), official site cantontower.com and its online shop for other windows, or the authorised OTAs (Ctrip, Qunar, Meituan); rides bundled by ticket tierVerified · 2023-11Source ↗
ID details
Real-name entry; passport handling is unconfirmed. Real-name: the rules ask for a second-generation Chinese ID card; without one, register at the 'visitor information kiosk' in the ticket hall and buy with the printed receipt. Passports are not mentioned
Paying on site
Same-window tickets: ticket hall at the tower, real-name, ID checked at purchase and at the lift. Other windows: cantontower.com online shop or an authorised booking platform, then collect the whole order in one go — 'the same order number must be collected at once' (official rules).
Beat the crowds
Every ticket is for one of six entry windows (9:30-12:00, then two-hourly to 20:00-22:00); miss the cut-off and you do not go up, no refund. The 18:00-20:00 window is the one that sells out — it covers dusk and the lights.
Language
The English site (cantontower.com/en) prints hours and capacity but its ticket-guidelines page is empty — the rules below come from the Chinese page only. Phone 4006051222 (Chinese).
