China's biggest private theme-park complex and the one place in Guangzhou a family with children will insist on: the Safari Park (opened 26 December 1997, 500-plus species, panda triplets, drive-through zones), Chimelong Paradise (roller coasters), the International Circus (a nightly 19:30 show), the Water Park (seasonal) and the Birds Park — each a separate ticket, from ¥100 (Birds Park) to ¥350 (Safari Park on a 'specified day'). Everything is real-name: you buy against an ID document and are checked against it at the gate, and the official FAQ lists a passport among the accepted documents. Metro Line 3/7 Hanxi Changlong station, then a free resort shuttle.

How to book
Official online channels: chimelong.com (the FAQ says 'online banking payment'; whether a foreign card works is not published), the 'Chimelong Travel' (长隆旅游) app and WeChat mini-program; also OTAs and box offices at each park. Tickets are for a specified date and, for the circus, a specified showVerified · 2026-09Source ↗
ID details
Passport required; see details for entry handling. Real-name: every ticket is bought against an ID document and checked at the gate (face/ID match). The official FAQ lists mainland ID card, passport, HK/Macao/Taiwan permits and the foreign permanent-residence card as accepted
Paying on site
chimelong.com → choose park and date → pay (FAQ says online banking; foreign-card acceptance not published) → at the gate show the same passport used for booking; box offices exist at each park for on-the-day purchase
Beat the crowds
Weekends, all Chinese public holidays and 1 July-31 August are 'specified days' with higher prices and the biggest crowds; the Safari Park's rated daily capacity is 150,000 and the resort's 390,000. A weekday in term time is a different place.
Language
The official website is Chinese; the FAQ, ticket terms and hotline (400-883-0083, staffed 9:00-18:00) are in Chinese. Signage inside big Chinese theme parks is usually bilingual, but this has not been verified here for 2026.
