The temple Su Dongpo named in 1100 (he saw six banyans and wrote the two characters over the gate), and the 57 m Flower Pagoda of 1097, the tallest Song pagoda in the south and the old city's landmark before there were towers: nine storeys outside, seventeen inside, painted red and green so it reads as a stack of blossoms. Free since about 2023, according to the district's 2026 page (it used to cost a few yuan), open 8:00-16:30, no booking; whether you can still climb the pagoda is not published, and recent visitors say no. Six hundred metres from Guangxiao Temple: do both in one morning.
