Just over half a square mile of Futian - 1.45 sq km, by the district government's own count - holding over 115,000 registered businesses and 35 specialist electronics markets carrying more than a million kinds of component. It is the only street in Shenzhen's official tourist-attraction register, graded 3A in 2019 and classed as an open scenic area, meaning there is no gate, no ticket and no opening time: you walk in off the metro and go up. What you are looking at is a supply chain rendered as retail floors - metre-wide counters stacked with capacitors, chargers, camera modules, drone parts and phone screens, and the repair stalls that keep them running.
