The city's two new art museums, opened in 2021 at opposite ends of Tianfu Art Park on the north-west edge of town: Hall A, the Tianfu Art Museum, is the white hibiscus-petal building on the lake; Hall B, the Contemporary Art Museum, is 500 m away across the park. One institution, one WeChat official account, one free real-name booking — and from February to August 2026 one show ran across both, the 'Fireworks Index' Chengdu Biennale, with 10,000 slots a day. Come for the architecture and the current show, not for a permanent collection: there is none on show.
