Where Chengdu's two rivers meet: a double pavilion on the point between the Fu and Nan rivers (named in the Tang, rebuilt in 1989) and, 100 m upstream, the Anshun Covered Bridge, a Ming-Qing-style three-arch gallery bridge finished in 2003 near the site of a 1746 bridge that the 1981 flood destroyed. Free, open all hours, lit after dark; the pavilion is where Chengdu couples come for wedding photos and where the night boats stage their 'sail show', and the bridge houses a restaurant upstairs with the bars of Lan Kwai Fong and Jiuyanqiao on either bank. The best free view of the river at dusk — ten minutes, then the boat or the bars.
