The fourth of the 'one airport, four stations', opened 27 June 2025 at Chayuan in the south-east of Nan'an with the Chongqing-Changsha high-speed line: this is where the fast trains to Wulong South and Qianjiang start — 61 minutes to Qianjiang at best (city government). It is also the farthest of the four from the peninsula: Metro Line 6's East Station branch runs to Liujiaping, where you change to the main Line 6 for Shangxinjie and Xiaoshizi, about 45 minutes to Jiefangbei; Line 24 is still under construction (2026 reports put its opening at the end of 2027). Do not assume 'new means central' or 'Wulong means East': since the January 2026 timetable some Wulong-Qianjiang trains also leave Chongqing West, so the station on your ticket is the only rule.

The East Station is out at Chayuan on the far side of Nanshan, and the metro link is a four-stop branch of Line 6 that ends at Liujiaping, where you change trains for the city; from Jiefangbei allow 45-55 minutes door to door, against 25-30 for North Station. The branch opened in June 2025 with 7:30-21:30 hours, but since 27 July 2025 it runs 6:30-23:00 like the rest of Line 6 (metro operator, via the city government site); after the last metro a night shuttle bus to Shangxinjie and Ciqijie runs until the last high-speed train arrives, otherwise it is a taxi. Line 24 through the station is still under construction — the 2026 target has slipped, and 2026 reports put the opening at the end of 2027 — and has not opened yet. And check the ticket: the Wulong fast trains started here in 2025, but the January 2026 timetable added Chongqing West-Qianjiang services too, so 'Wulong equals East Station' is already an over-simplification.
