The lakeside building at 13 Luhu Road that was the Guangzhou Museum of Art from 2000 until it closed in April 2023 and the collection moved to its new home in Haizhu: a Mo Bozhi design of stacked circular light-wells and courtyards, 40,000 m² on a 2-hectare site. It reopened on 24 September 2024 under the city's Federation of Literary and Art Circles as a free art centre with 19 exhibition halls. What you get now is rotating exhibitions — some of them ticketed touring shows — in one of the best late-modern buildings in the city, ten minutes' walk from Luhu Lake.
