The 1931 octagonal hall with the blue-tiled roof at the foot of Yuexiu Hill, built by public subscription on the site of Sun Yat-sen's 1921 presidential office and designed by Lü Yanzhi, who also did the Nanjing mausoleum: a 71 m clear-span auditorium of 3,238 seats under a Chinese palace exterior. The gardens are free 6:00-22:00; the hall is ¥10, 9:00-17:30, and closes for concerts and meetings at short notice. The hall's own website may not load from outside China; the details here follow the district's January 2026 copy of its visitor guide.
