Yunxi Botanical Garden
The mountain's west-side park on Baiyun Avenue, opposite Guangzhou Gymnasium: 83 hectares of stream valley, ponds and lawns that were the free 'Yunxi Ecological Park' for twenty years and reopened in 2024 as a botanical garden under the national botanical garden scheme — 1,400 rare plant species in conservation, a 'Flower City' art hall, boardwalks along the stream. That change came with a ticket: ¥20, confirmed by the bureau in July 2026 after the two-year trial price expired (the city's cap is ¥40; the bureau is keeping ¥20 for now). Metro Line 12's Guangzhou Gymnasium station is at the gate.

Metro Line 12 to Guangzhou Gymnasium → cross to the gate → ¥20 at the window (the ¥25 Yuntai + Yunluo combined ticket does not cover Yunxi) → park.
Weekend late mornings are family picnics on the lawns; weekday mornings are near-empty. There is no flower-show season here to plan around.
Plant labels carry Latin names; interpretation boards are Chinese.
