Three shikumen houses in a lane off Madang Road: the best-preserved office of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, founded in Shanghai in April 1919. The government moved through more than ten addresses before settling here in July 1926, and left in April 1932 after the Hongkou Park bombing. For Korean visitors the most important site in Shanghai, and 2026 is its centenary year.
