Shanghai Concert Hall
The 1930 Nanking Theatre, a neoclassical hall that in 2003 was jacked up 3.38 m and rolled 66.46 m south-east to clear the way for the Yan'an Road works — the whole building, finished on 17 June 2003, then the largest relocation in the city's history. Three cheap ways in: 'Music Afternoon Tea' lunchtime concerts on weekdays at ¥30 (usually South Hall, Gate 1; one ticket per ID card, sold in batches on the hall's mini-program), ¥30 self-guided visits, and 'Explore the Palace' guided tours — all booked through the mini-program.
Official mini-program '上海音乐厅' (city ticketing guide, May 2026; also reached from the WeChat official account '凯迪拉克上海音乐厅', ID SH_ConcertHall; ticket line 400-891-8182). Lunchtime concerts are released in batches announced on the account, one ticket per ID card, no refunds, no children under 1.2 m; an account holding three or more expired unredeemed lunchtime tickets in the 30 days before a release is barred from that release's projects for two months. Some sessions change venue (such as the B2 'Music Cube'); limited special bundles have also been sold alongside the ¥30 standard ticketVerified · 2026-05Source ↗
