Han Yangling
The tomb of the Western Han emperor Jing (d. 141 BC) on the airport road north of the Wei River — and the answer to 'is there a quieter Terracotta Army': an underground hall built over the emperor's burial pits where you walk on glass above rows of naked, armless clay figures (their wooden arms and silk clothes rotted away), thousands of them, plus animals, granaries and the archaeological museum with the best of the finds. Real-name online ticket (¥70 in season, ¥55 December-February), entry on ID and the booking code, open every day; no metro — a bus from Line 2's Library station, a taxi, or a stop between the airport and the city.
Real-name online booking on the WeChat official accounts 汉景帝阳陵博物院 / 汉阳陵国家考古遗址公园 or Ctrip / Meituan; enter with the ID and the booking QR. Lines 029-62657530 / 62657569Verified · 2026-09Source ↗
Real-name entry; passport handling is unconfirmed. Real-name; the notice says 'your own valid ID card' and the booking QR — it does not name the passport. Booking with a passport number is a reasonable assumption, not a published rule: phone 029-62657530 before relying on it
WeChat 汉景帝阳陵博物院 (or Ctrip/Meituan) → date → adult ¥70/¥55 → real-name details → pay → QR; at the gate show ID and scan.
Any weekday is quiet; the underground hall is the reason to come, so do it first while the tour buses are at the Terracotta Army 60 km east.
English guiding ¥100 per group per site (archaeological museum, underground hall), Chinese ¥50; audio guide ¥20 with ¥100 deposit (museum fee page). Labels bilingual in the underground hall.
