The show every tour bus goes to, and the easiest way to see face-changing, fire-spitting, the rolling-lamp balancing act, hand-shadow play and rod puppets in one 90-minute sitting: a nightly 20:00 performance in a teahouse-style hall at the gate of the Culture Park on Qintai Road, next to Qingyang Palace, with a lidded cup of tea and sunflower seeds at every seat and, in the dearer tiers, an ear-cleaning or a back massage before curtain-up.
