Wulong in a Day: Which Parks and How

Decision5 compared
WULONG IN A DAY: WHICH PARKS AND HOW · CHONGQING

Choose a realistic Wulong combination from the bridges, Fissure, Furong Cave, Fairy Mountain and the evening show. The sites are dispersed and some require park shuttles, so one day is a pairing problem, not a complete sweep.

The short answer

Ifyou are driving or taking a taxi to the parksthen

Go to the visitor reception centre in Fairy Mountain town instead: the bridges and the Fissure are shuttle-only and private cars cannot reach either entrance. Buy there, then board the park shuttle — it is already in the all-in price (¥40 for the bridges, ¥35 for the Fissure).

Ifyou have one daythen

Bridges in the morning, Fissure after, 2-3 hours each: buy both tickets at the visitor centre so you can board the Fissure shuttle at the bridges' exit, and be out of the Fissure before 16:30. Leave Furong Cave for another day — it is at Jiangkou, in the other direction.

Ifyou want to see Impression Wulongthen

Book a bed in Fairy Mountain town: the first show is 20:00-21:10 from 1 September 2026, and the tourist express back to Wulong South reportedly stops at 20:00, so there is no same-day return to Chongqing. Check it is running between December and March — it took a winter break from 2 January 2026.

Ifyou are buying the train ticketthen

Wulong South (武隆南, Wulongnan) is the high-speed station with the tourist express at the exit; Wulong (武隆) is the old station, where you walk about 650 m to the bus station for a rural bus. Both names come up when you search — read the ticket, and book the way back after 17:00 to give the bridges enough time.

Ifyou are choosing when to gothen

November to February is low season on the operator's table: ¥125 at the bridges and ¥85 at the Fissure instead of ¥155 and ¥105, and hardly a queue for the lift — but the slot is dark by 15:00 and snow can close Fairy Mountain. June to August brings storms: on 7 June 2026 both floor paths flooded and closed for the day, so read the '武隆景区' WeChat official account before setting out.

Three Natural Bridges

天生三桥Open the place →
What you see · how long
Three limestone bridges in a collapsed sinkhole, on a one-way floor path: lift down to Tianlong Bridge, then Qinglong and Heilong, then the exit, 2-3 hours; the last climb is 20 minutes on foot or ¥15 by electric cart · 2026-07-09
Ticket (peak / low, all-in)
Gate ¥70 peak / ¥40 low, but the shuttle (¥40) and spiral lift (¥45) are compulsory: ¥155 peak / ¥125 low all-in. Low season on the operator's table is November to February · 2026-01-04
Opening hours
May 8:30-17:00; June-August 8:00-17:00; September-April 8:30-16:30 — opening hours, not last entry, so keep three hours in hand · 2026-01-04
Getting there
Visitor reception centre in Fairy Mountain town first, then the park shuttle, about 15 minutes, to the entrance — the gate is shuttle-only · 2026-06-04
Booking & ID
No booking; real-name on the '武隆景区官方平台' mini-program or platforms, and 'bring your own valid ID card original'. Passports are not mentioned — start at the visitor-centre window · 2025-01-03
Same day as the others?
Yes, with the Fissure: shuttles to the Fissure leave from the bridges' exit, but you must already hold a Fissure ticket to board (platform wording) · 2026-07-09
Don't get this wrong
'Tiankeng Zhaizi' (¥45) is a separate Miao-village park, not these sinkholes; the replica bridges in the Wulong town museum are not the real ones · 2026-09-16
The one to do if you do only one: a lift down into a sinkhole and a walk under three natural bridges. Come on the first shuttle or after 14:00, when the tour groups have gone through, and do not believe the ¥70 on the list — you pay ¥155 before the ¥15 cart. The traps are the lift queue on peak weekends and the rainy season: on 7 June 2026 the whole floor path flooded and the park shut for the day, so in June-August read the '武隆景区' WeChat official account before setting out.

Longshuixia Fissure

龙水峡地缝Open the place →
What you see · how long
A slot gorge 'two to five hundred metres deep and only metres wide', walked on cliff walkways after a lift down, about 2.5 km one-way (platform reports), 2-3 hours; biggest falls and slipperiest boards after rain · 2026-07-31
Ticket (peak / low, all-in)
Gate ¥55 peak / ¥35 low; shuttle ¥35 and lift ¥15 compulsory: ¥105 / ¥85 all-in. With the bridges, the peak-season pair is ¥260 · 2026-01-04
Opening hours
The same three bands as the bridges: May 8:30-17:00; June-August 8:00-17:00; September-April 8:30-16:30 · 2026-01-04
Getting there
Shuttle from the visitor centre, or from the bridges' exit stop with a Fissure ticket in hand; private cars cannot reach the entrance · 2026-06-04
Booking & ID
Same channels and the same line as the bridges: real-name, ID-card original for checking; whether a foreign passport can book online or buy at the window is not published · 2025-01-03
Same day as the others?
The second half of the bridges day: be out before 16:30 — in winter the light in the slot goes by 15:00 · 2026-09-16
Don't get this wrong
'地心之旅' (Journey to the Centre of the Earth) is a resort bus stop in Fairy Mountain town, not the Fissure entrance — that is shuttle-only · 2026-09-16
Not a second Three Natural Bridges: narrower, wetter, closer to walking inside a waterfall, and shorter. It is the natural second half of the day because the shuttle runs from the bridges' exit, so buy both tickets at the visitor centre if you are sure of your legs; if not, buy the bridges only and add the Fissure at the exit. Flooded and closed with the bridges on 7 June 2026; wear shoes with grip.

Furong Cave

芙蓉洞Open the place →
What you see · how long
A show cave: a 1,860 m paved walkway through a 2,700 m main passage, a stable 16.1°C deep inside — a jacket in summer; free guided commentary in Chinese · 2026-06-04
Ticket (peak / low, all-in)
Gate ¥80 peak / ¥65 low plus the ¥70 return cable car: ¥150 / ¥135 all-in; a cave-boat combo adds the ¥100 Furong River cruise · 2026-01-04
Opening hours
The same three bands: May 8:30-17:00; June-August 8:00-17:00; September-April 8:30-16:30. When the cable car stops the park closes — six days in June 2026 · 2026-06-07
Getting there
The other direction, at Jiangkou: from Wulong South about 30 minutes by the Jiangkou Furong Cave bus line (district transport commission, via media); from Fairy Mountain town about an hour · 2025-06-25
Booking & ID
Same Chinese channels, real-name, ID-card original; the cave's own visitor centre has windows. Nothing is published about passports · 2025-01-03
Same day as the others?
Not with the bridges: forcing it into the same day cuts the bridges to half a morning. A second day, or straight from Wulong South before anything else · 2026-09-16
Don't get this wrong
The 'Furong River' is the boat park (¥100), not the cave; 'Furong Cave service area' is an expressway rest stop 11 km from the cave · 2026-09-16
The half day that does not fit: Furong Cave is at Jiangkou, not on the road to the bridges, the Fissure or Fairy Mountain. A show cave is lights and stalagmites, not the shock of a sinkhole — come on a second day, or go straight from Wulong South station before heading up to the town. The cable car is the only way to the cave mouth, and when it stops the whole park closes.

Fairy Mountain park

仙女山国家森林公园Open the place →

Grassland and forest where Chongqing goes to cool off — 22°C is the summer average — and to sledge in winter; give it a whole afternoon or a dawn. The little train is ¥25 a ride · 2026-06-04
Ticket (peak / low, all-in)
¥50 all year, no seasons; everything inside is extra — sledge ¥130 an hour, camping extra · 2026-01-04

Getting there
About 10 minutes' drive north of Fairy Mountain town (platform reports); the resort buses do not reach the gate — taxi or the park's own bus · 2026-06-04
Booking & ID
Same channels, ID-card original; the 2025 festival notice sent passport holders to a manual lane, the 2026 notice did not repeat it · 2025-08-15
Same day as the others?
Not in a day trip: from the bridges you arrive at dusk. No ordinary tickets at all on 15-16 August 2026 (music festival) · 2026-08-11
Don't get this wrong
Fairy Mountain town (hotels, the visitor centre) is not Fairy Mountain park, another 10 minutes by car; 'Xiannüshan Airport' is a civil airport · 2026-09-16
Not a karst wonder and not a day-trip item: it is the resort's back garden, cool in summer and snowy in winter, and it only makes sense if you sleep in the town. Two days in mid-August you cannot buy a park ticket at all, and in snow it closes at short notice (it did on 2 January 2026).

Wulong Karst Visitor Centre (Fairy Mountain town):Not a sight but the building every Wulong day passes through: tickets for the bridges and the Fissure, the park shuttles, the tourist express from Wulong South and the evening coach to the show all start here, and '仙女山游客中心', '仙女镇游客接待中心' and '武隆喀斯特旅游区游客中心' are the same building. everyone — tell the driver 游客接待中心, and on a foreign passport ask at the staffed window here first.

Wulong ticket maths and passes:The gate price is not the price: ¥155 / ¥105 / ¥150 / ¥50 all-in for bridges, Fissure, cave and mountain. The ¥299 Global PASS (24 July to 31 December 2026, 'wherever you come from') bundles the parks and the show, but its notice does not say whether shuttles and lifts are included; most other passes are limited to Chongqing residents or certain professions. anyone doing three parks or more in the second half of 2026 — read the 'booking notes' in the mini-program before paying.

Wulong South vs Wulong station:Two stations with near-identical names: Wulong South, on the high-speed line opened on 27 June 2025, has the tourist express to the visitor centre at the door; Wulong, the old station, means a walk to the bus station and a rural bus. They are not adjacent and there is no link between them. everyone buying a train ticket — read the station on the ticket, and board the express back at the visitor centre before 19:00.
