Where the Five Rams legend is kept: a Ming Taoist temple of 1377 on a red sandstone outcrop said to bear the immortals' footprints, with the best-preserved Ming halls in the city and, behind them, the 1378 'Lingnan First Tower' — a gate-tower two years older than Zhenhai Tower with a five-ton Ming bell you are not allowed to ring. Free, closed Mondays, ID at the gate for a free ticket; it doubles as the Yuexiu District Museum and few tourists find it, 500 m south-west of Beijing Road.
